Directions
Summer - Fall: From Norwood, drive 1.3 miles east on Highway 145, turn right
onto County Road 44ZS (Lone Cone Road towards Miramonte Reservoir), and
proceed 10.3 miles. Turn left/east onto 45M Rd/Beef Trail Rd, proceed 2.4
miles. Turn left onto Beef Trail Rd/M44 Rd, proceed 1 mile. Turn right onto
County Road 46M/Forest Road 611 (road sign is not visible from Beef Trail Rd.
Look for first turn to the right. There will be a cattle guard with a small
white sign that says "611"), proceed about 5 miles (you'll pass the forest
boundary sign and kiosk). Road forks. Take the left fork onto Forest Road 611
(towards "Beaver Park") to stay on Forest Road 611. You'll go over a single
lane wooden bridge about half a mile down this road that goes over the Gurley
Ditch. Stay on this road for about 3.2 miles. There will be a second
intersection (611/618). Take a left at this fork (sign will say "Lone Cone
Guard Station 1). Stay on this road (don't make any turns). The cabin is about
1 mile past this intersection. The road will end at a closed/locked gate. The
combo for this gate and the cabin will be sent to you within 48hrs of your
reservation . There will be a metal sign that says "Lone Cone Cabin". Proceed
through the gate and the cabin will be about 1/10th of a mile down the road on
your right hand side. Please keep the gate closed so that cattle do not enter
the fenced area around the cabin.
