<p>Travertine Creek is across the road from Cold Springs Campground, and hosts a popular swimming area known as Bear Falls. The creek is spring-fed from the cool, clear waters of Antelope and Buffalo Springs. The leisurely Antelope and Buffalo Springs Trail is located behind the Travertine Nature Center and is approximately 1 mile in length.</p>

Mature oak and hickory forests cover this historic part of Chickasaw National Recreation Area. The park is characterized by complex geology as intensive faulting, folding, and rock deformations have combined to form a landscape of gently rolling hills dissected by gentle streams.
