Midland Group Campground

Overview

Midland Group Campground is located along the Fraser River, just south of Winter Park. Visitors to the area enjoy hiking, biking, and fishing, with easy access to the town of Winter Park. This campground provides a rustic camping experience for group gatherings.

Natural Features

Midland Campground sits at 9,500' elevation, along the Fraser River as it runs from its source near Berthoud Pass to its confluence with the Colorado River. Nearby trailheads and 4x4 roads provide access to Jim Creek, as well as the west side of historic Rollins Pass. The summit of Berthoud Pass provides further scenery and trail access.

Afternoon thunderstorms can be expected during spring and summer months.

Grocery shopping and restaurants are available in towns of Winter Park and Fraser.  

The Arapaho National Recreation Area and western portal of Rocky Mountain National Park are within an hour's drive.

Directions

From Winter Park, travel 4.5 miles south on US Hwy 40. The campground is located on the east side of the road.
