It was a beautiful, quiet campground. We used a generator and didn’t have any issues - We were far from our “neighbors”. Don’t book Site 09 with an RV! I saw a review mentioning it and thought it couldn’t be that bad, but it was and the host was kind enough to let us move.

Amazing area of nature, with lots of hiking trails of various difficulty. Minimal cell coverage, enough to stay in touch if needed but not enough to be really online. Good place to unplug and enjoy nature!

This is the 4th year we've camped at Heart's Content and we really enjoy the campground. The campground steward does a great job with the vault toilets, keeping them cleaned and stocked as we camp with a group of 5 families and many kids so we use it quite a bit. This year, the police presence was very annoying because they were excessively patrolling the area because of the rainbow family thing, which none of our campers knew anything about except we kept getting spotlighted by the state PD after dark and stopped for questioning at numerous points. No fault of the campground, just the PD being intrusive.
We like to visit the local waters since we camp there in the summer and it is usually hot at least 1 or 2 days of our 5 day stay. There is good hiking opportunities not too far away at Ministers Creek, Kinzua Dam, and Kinzua Beach. My family isn't local and there isn't much elevation or rocks where we live so it's nice to get a change of scenery and climb some boulders and such with the kids.
