Campground and experience was great. One thing though. We always stay at the same site each year. The water hydrant was leaking last year and it was still leaking this year.

Everything was clean and well maintained and the Park Host went above and beyond. Without going into too much detail the Host and his wife were exceptional to us. We deeply appreciated the care and attention we recieved there. We will be back to this campground and whole heartedly recommend the campgrounds.

Fair rating. Gunter Hill Campground has a quiet, pretty setting, and the restroom and shower facilities were well maintained. However, our campsite had several issues that affected the overall experience. The pad site was heavily rutted, a large limb fell and struck our trailer, and we had a significant problem with black ants. While there were some positives, the site conditions and maintenance concerns made the stay less comfortable than expected.

Great sites. Stayed twice this trip. Had different sites each time. Both were awesome. Shower/Restroom are showing their age but still kept clean.

Calm and nice campground in beautiful secluded forest and lake. Nice playground and easy to bike around. Stresses you down. Very friendly staff. We did not do that many activities outside except see Montgomery.

We really like the camp grounds at Gunter hill, what we did not like is that the site we was in was down hill. There are plenty of trees so trying to get our star link to work was not going to happen. Cell phone had no signal. My wife works on the road so we had to leave early because of no internet or cell signal.
This camp ground was very beautiful and I did love the set up between campers, plenty of space overall!!

The sites are very nice in the area where we camped. Nice to have full hookups.
Bathroom and shower facilities very outdated and need renovation. They advertise two playgrounds but only have one that also needs some TLC.

Campground was peaceful and quiet even though it was full for the holiday weekend. We liked it so much here that we reserved a spot for this fall.

Site 38 was great with a heat index of 105 having the trees shading our camper kept our camper nice and cool as well as us (we sat outside most of the time). Cell service was not the best (Verizon) 4g 1 bar most of the time but the best part was it was quite

We were put in a spot that was too short for our 32’ camper& was impossible to back into. The apt had a 45 degree turn in the site. Even the host said it wasn’t good & he moved us to another site that wasn’t spectacular but we made it work.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gunter Hill. It is rustic with plenty of space. The oad is concrete and level. Catoma loop has FHU and is better suited for larger Rv’s. The camp hosts are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

The site was good. It was fairly level and shady. The road there is a bit tight if you are driving a motor home. They trim trees up, but now back from the road. We were not on the lake and I am not sure if there are any. There are a couple that allow you to see it. We were in site 36. You are close to Montgomery and all that it has to offer. We went to the State Capitol (free), went to the Hank Williams museum, we went to the grave site for HW as well, the Museum of Alabama (free and you will be there for a while), The Mooseum (free), The First White House of the Confederate (free) and the Montgomery Zoo (which is small but nice) There is a paved race track that runs once a month just outside the gate of Gunter Hill, if you are interested. We went and had a great time. The road there is a bit tight is you are driving a motor home. They trim trees up, but now back from the road.
