My husband and I choose this site because usually it’s very quiet and most of the time we are the only campers there. We love it. I do have a concern about the toilets. They are rarely useable. They are not pumped out and smell horrible. We pay to camp and use the facilities but cannot use the restrooms. We try to get campsite 1 which is close to the toilets and the smell at times, even at the camp is awful. Please , please have them cleaned. Thank you!

It was a beautiful well kept campground with our campsite on the bank of the Alabama River. We were the only people there, and after dark, a man in a pickup truck came down the road- which is about four miles from a main road- and questioned us. He asked us where we were headed and told us “we don’t get a lot of visitors around here”. It felt like the start of a horror movie. We were alone- it felt unsafe and we didn’t end up staying the night.

Beautiful place and so peaceful. Love watching the wild animals when they come out. Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. Easy access to the river.

The camp ground is no longer being taken care of! Leaves on camp sites. Trash wasn’t ever picked up. If you are going to charge at least clean the place up

My husband and I love this campground. It was quiet and peaceful while we were there, probably because it is a small campground and not many campers during this time of the year. Having to reserve online was something new to us at this campground, but luckily, I already had an account set up with recreation.gov, so that wasn't a problem other than having bad service there (not good at all, but that's normally okay with us). I fear this new system may be a problem at some point for those individuals who come to camp or either just to fish who are unaware of the new system and do not have capabilities to reserve online (at least until everyone learns of the change). Everyone is accustomed to it being a first come, first serve campground. Our hunting club comes every year in May (the week after Mother's Day). During that time, it's very crowded. We will, of course, make our members aware of the new system so that everyone can reserve their site beforehand. In conclusion, we love this campground and hope to be able to visit it for many years to come.
