What are they?

Watch credits can be used to check camp site availability. When you subscribe to Camp Observer, you are given a fixed number of watch credits to use every month. If you need more, you will be able to purchase them.

Watch credits aren't fully implemented yet, so this feature isn't working right now.

As an early beta user, you can enjoy unlimited watches and checks for the time being.
